Works when
- The manufacturer's site or chatbot is broken or goes in circles.
- You have the model and serial number to hand.
- You can send one message yourself if the channel needs it.
Does not work when
- The appliance is sparking, smoking or smells of burning; switch it off and get qualified help first.
- You would rather use an independent repairer than the manufacturer.
- You want charges accepted without seeing them.

The source case
On X, @virtuallysarvad reports booking a service request for their refrigerator with Instinct. By their account, most of LG's links and bots were dead and useless; Instinct found the WhatsApp support number and gave them exactly what to send. The WhatsApp support bot then returned a new link that worked, and rather than use it themselves they forwarded it to Instinct, which booked the complaint. The post does not give the fault, the country, the booking reference or whether a technician came, and it shows the author sending the WhatsApp message themselves. Checked on 2026-09-24. This is an individual report, not evidence of how any manufacturer's support will respond.

Source excerpt
Just booked a service request for our refrigerator with Instinct. ... It was so terrible to do it manually that most of the LG's links and bots were dead and useless. Instinct later found the WhatsApp support number and gave me exactly what I should send it. The LG's WhatsApp support bot then gave me a new link which actually worked although I was bored to do it manually so I just forwarded it to Instinct and it booked the complaint for me.

- Address and times you are available
Connected

How to try it
Editorial, not from the source
- Gather the brand, model, serial number, purchase date and a short description of the fault. A photo of the rating plate helps.
- Ask for the manufacturer's official support routes: website, WhatsApp, phone. Expect some links to be dead.
- If the channel is tied to your phone, send the first message yourself, using the wording it drafts.
- Hand back any booking link you receive, and approve the booking details before they are submitted.
- Record the complaint or service reference, the visit window and any charge mentioned.
When the official links are dead
The report behind this page is about a support system more than an appliance. @virtuallysarvad needed a service request for their refrigerator, and by their account most of LG's links and bots were dead and useless. The route that worked came from looking around them: Instinct found the manufacturer's WhatsApp support number and gave them the exact message to send. That is the practical lesson. When a support page loops or a chatbot stalls, ask for every official channel the manufacturer lists, including messaging numbers and phone lines, and check each belongs to the maker before using it. Have the model, serial number and fault written down first, because every route will ask for them, and a vague description slows the booking.
Some steps are yours
The report is honest about the hand-off. The WhatsApp message went from the author's own phone, and the support bot replied with a new booking link. At that point, they write, they were bored of doing it manually and forwarded the link to Instinct, which booked the complaint. Channels tied to your phone number often work this way: the agent drafts, you send, and the next step can be handed back. Before anything is submitted, check the details that will reach the service centre: your address, the model, the fault, a number the technician can reach, and the visit window. If a charge comes up, such as a call-out fee or an out-of-warranty repair, that one is yours to accept.
Keep the reference
A booked complaint is only useful if you can find it again. Save the complaint or service reference, the date booked, the visit window and anything you were told about charges, somewhere you can open when the technician is late or the call centre asks for a number. The source post ends at the booking. It does not say whether a technician came, what the fault was or whether the repair worked, and support routes differ by country and change often. Treat it as a report that a dead-end support system was worked around, not a promise that your manufacturer offers the same route. If the appliance is unsafe, such as sparking or smelling of burning, switch it off and get qualified help before booking anything.
Open Instinct to try it. That is the product's own site; this guide is not part of it.
Limits and confirmation points
- One attributed report. It does not name the fault, the country or the reference, or say whether the repair happened.
- Support routes differ by country and change often. The WhatsApp route in the report may not exist where you are.
- Warranty cover, call-out fees and repair charges are set by the manufacturer or service centre. Accept any charge yourself.
- A channel tied to your phone number, such as WhatsApp, may need you to send the message. In the report, the author did that step.

Editorial, not from the source
- The manufacturer's links and bots are dead
- Ask for the other official routes the manufacturer lists, such as a WhatsApp support number or a phone line. The source report found a working route that way.
- The support channel needs your phone to send the message
- Send the drafted message yourself, then forward any link that comes back so the booking can be completed.
- A third-party site offers to book the repair
- Check it is the manufacturer's own service or an authorised centre before sharing any details.
Common questions
Can an agent book an appliance repair for me?
One user reports that Instinct booked a refrigerator service request after finding a working LG support route. The author sent one message themselves, and this directory has not reproduced it.
What if the manufacturer's support site does not work?
Ask for every official route the manufacturer lists, including messaging numbers and phone lines, and check each belongs to the maker.
Will it send WhatsApp messages from my phone?
In the source report it did not: it gave the author the message to send. Channels tied to your number usually need you for that step.
Who pays for the repair?
That depends on the warranty and the manufacturer's terms. Any charge is yours to accept; this page does not cover warranty rules.
Should I use an independent repairer instead?
That is a separate choice. For finding a local tradesperson, see the handyman task page.
