Compare vendors in another time zone
Compare vendors in another time zone. Have questions asked and quotes lined up overnight, and approve any price or order yourself.
What you can get
Reaches your accounts Creates or changes things in accounts you connect, with your approval.
-
It does
- Messages vendors from your account, on WhatsApp where that access exists
- Asks questions and requests better prices
- Does not agree a price, place an order, pay a deposit or share files without your approval
-
It stops and asks
- Before any message: approve the vendor list and the questions.
- Before negotiating: set the ceiling and what must not be promised.
- Before ordering: see every quote side by side and choose yourself.
-
You approve
- Your approval before a price is agreed, an order placed or a deposit paid
- Your approval before artwork or personal details are shared

Works when
- The vendors work while you sleep and reply on their own schedule.
- You have a clear spec and several vendors who can quote against it.
- You want the questions asked and the answers lined up, not the decision made.
Does not work when
- You need the order placed and paid tonight without seeing the quotes.
- The vendors only use a channel the agent cannot reach from your account.
- The item has to be seen and handled before any serious conversation.

The source case
On X, @pitdesi lists fifteen things Instinct did in five days. Item three is custom merch for a brother's wedding: it found vendors and is messaging several of them on WhatsApp, asking questions, comparing options and negotiating prices while the author sleeps, because the vendors are in India. The job was still under way when posted, and no vendor, quote, price, order or delivery is reported. Two other users describe a different setup: @MrTimRiggins writes that Instinct can't WhatsApp on their behalf, and @udayan_w lists access to WhatsApp conversations among the things it doesn't have. All three posts were checked on 2026-09-24. They are individual reports, not evidence of what will happen for the reader.

3) We’re ordering custom merch for my brother’s wedding. It found vendors and is messaging several of them on WhatsApp- asking questions, comparing options, and negotiating prices while I’m asleep because the vendors are in India.

one annoying thing is that a lot of businesses in Europe are WhatsApp first, and your instinct can't WhatsApp on your behalf

there are still some things instinct doesn't have, which is why i'm still running my own custom agents. one big one is access to my whatsapp conversations.

What you need
Editorial, not from the source
You supply
- Item spec with quantity and deadline
- Vendor names or where to look
- Your price ceiling
- Delivery address
Connected
- A messaging channel the agent can use from your account, if your setup allows it
- A way to reach you when a vendor asks something only you can answer
How to try it
Editorial, not from the source
- Write one spec every vendor can quote against: item, quantity, sizes or colours, artwork, delivery address and the date it must arrive.
- Give the agent the vendors to contact, or ask it to find some and show you the list before it messages anyone.
- Fix the questions each vendor gets so the answers line up: unit price, minimum order, samples, production time, shipping and payment terms.
- Say what it may ask for and what it may not agree to: it can request a better price, but not accept one, pay a deposit or send artwork you have not approved.
- Read the comparison when you wake up, choose, and place the order and payment yourself.
Write the spec before anyone is messaged
Overnight messaging only saves time if every supplier is answering the same question. Before the agent contacts anyone, write down the item, the quantity, sizes or colours, any artwork, the delivery address and the date the goods must arrive. Add the questions you want answered by all of them: unit price, minimum order, whether samples are available, production time, shipping cost and time, and how payment works. A comparison built on different assumptions is not a comparison, and the cheapest quote is often the one that left something out. @pitdesi describes the agent asking questions, comparing options and negotiating prices on a wedding merch order. The post does not show the spec it worked from, which is the part you control and the part most likely to decide whether the quotes are usable.
Let the night shift ask, not decide
The appeal in the report is timing: the suppliers are in India, and the conversation moves while the author is asleep. That also means messages go out under your name with nobody reading them first. Decide in advance what may be said. Asking for a lower price, a sample or a faster date is fine; agreeing a price, confirming quantities, accepting a deposit request or sending final artwork is a commitment and should wait for you. Ask for the threads, not only a summary, so you can see exactly what was offered and in what words. The post reports negotiation in progress and gives no final price, so there is nothing yet to say about how much negotiating achieved. Treat any saving as unproven until it appears on an invoice.
Check the channel before you plan around it
The report depends on WhatsApp, and other users describe something different. @MrTimRiggins writes that a lot of businesses in Europe are WhatsApp first and that Instinct can't WhatsApp on their behalf. @udayan_w lists access to WhatsApp conversations among the things it doesn't have. These posts do not explain the difference, and this directory has not tested it, so confirm what your own setup can do before relying on it. If the agent cannot message the suppliers directly, it can still draft messages for you to send, or use email and contact forms where a supplier offers them. The comparison table and the approval rules work the same way whichever channel carries the messages.
Open Instinct to try it. That is the product's own site; this guide is not part of it.
Limits and confirmation points
- One report, and it was unfinished when posted. It shows vendors being contacted and compared, not an order completed or delivered.
- WhatsApp access is not the same for everyone. One user says the agent has access to their WhatsApp; another says it can't message on WhatsApp for them; a third lists WhatsApp access as missing.
- Messages sent overnight reach the vendor under your name. What the agent says about price, quantity or dates can read as a commitment.
- Nothing here checks a vendor's quality, legitimacy or ability to ship across a border. Samples and your own judgement do that.
Editorial, not from the source

Editorial, not from the source
- The agent cannot message on WhatsApp from your account
- Ask it to draft the messages for you to send, or to use the vendor's email or contact form instead. Some users report it has no WhatsApp access at all.
- Vendors quote against different specs
- Send the same written spec again and ask for a revised quote. Compare only quotes that answer the same question.
- A vendor asks for a deposit to hold a price
- Stop and decide yourself. A held price is not a reason to pay before the other quotes are in.
Common questions
Can the agent message suppliers on WhatsApp for me?
One user reports that it does, with access to their WhatsApp. Two others say it cannot message on WhatsApp for them or lacks access to their conversations. Check your own setup first.
Will it get me a lower price?
The report says it is negotiating prices but gives no result. No saving is shown, so treat any figure as unconfirmed until it is on an invoice.
What should every supplier be asked?
The same things: unit price, minimum order, samples, production time, shipping and payment terms, all against one written spec.
Can it place the order when it finds the best quote?
Not without your approval. Choosing a supplier, agreeing a price and paying a deposit are your decisions.
Does it check whether a supplier is reliable?
No. It can gather what suppliers say about themselves. Samples, reviews you trust and your own judgement are the check.
